Jim Melton is the Editor of all parts of the SQL standard (SQL-92,SQL:1999, and the upcoming SQL:200n). For more than 15 years, he hasrepresented his company to the ANSI committee for SQL and the USA to thecorresponding ISO committee (JTC1/SC32/WG3). Jim also represents hiscompany to the W3C XML Query Working Group. He is the author of severalbooks on various aspects of the SQL standard and is currently preparing abook that addresses the subject of querying XML documents and collections.
